We carry what we consider the major air conditioner styles including
window, portable, through-wall commercial, and industrial AC units. You may think of
us as being a little snobbish, but we do not carry little novelty
devices like personal air conditioners that you wear or handheld
fans that spray water at you. We only carry what we consider
quality equipment that will solve residential and professional indoor air problems.
Our portable air conditioner would be
appropriate if you may need to transport the air conditioner to
another room or location. It has handles to lift it short
distances, but is too heavy to comfortably carry
around. Casters allow you to roll it from room to room as
needed.
A window air conditioning
unit is perfect for a room that stays generally closed, so that the cooled air
does not escape. Window air conditioning units
are not very portable and usually should be for a room that would
need to consistently be cooled (at least seasonally).
The through-wall air
conditioners are most likely going to be installed
permanently, since you have to make a hole in an exterior wall.
Like window units, through-wall is intended for one room or enclosed
area, yet larger through-wall air conditioners can cool several
rooms if air can flow between them (for example an open kitchen,
dining room and living room area). Through wall air
conditioners can be a less expensive alternative to central air.
If an isolated room needs more cool air, an additional inexpensive window air
conditioner may handle it without breaking your budget. Even
purchasing multiple through-wall air conditioners may be less
expensive than central AC.
Usually
commercial air conditioners
install through an exterior wall and are an alternative or
supplement to central
AC in offices or apartments. Commercial air conditioners are
often used for regulating different temperatures in separate spaces
like hotel rooms. A through-wall commercial air conditioner
may be installed where there is no room for ducts, such as a work
shops, warehouses or converted office space.
An industrial air conditioner
is best used if you have a large room with temperature sensitive equipment
or processes that produce excessive heat. Some may have casters and roll around like
a portable ac,
and some are permanently installed.
