Weatherproof, Shockproof and Usability Make the
Gasman Portable Gas Detector Easy to Use in Harsh Environments...
The new Gasman
personal single gas monitor provides full function, yet is small enough to
easily fit into a pocket or clip onto a belt. Gasman is available in
versions for various gases such as Ammonia, Chlorine, Carbon Monoxide, and
Hydrogen Cyanide. The hazards of gas exposure are generally
categorized as combustible, toxic and oxygen deficiency. Hydrogen,
Methane and natural gas are combustible gases of major concern in industrial
facilities. Toxic gases create an immediate and long-term health risk
to personnel. They include the gases referred to above plus many
others listed in specifications. Gasman's reliability assures safe and
accurate hazardous gas detection.
Depletion of Oxygen concentration in an occupied
area may result in asphyxiation. OSHA has established 19.5 percent Oxygen in air as the lower limit of
safety. The Gasman version for oxygen has a sensor range of 0-25% Vol
with a 10 second response time.
The Gasman's
single button operation and intelligent design allow easy use in harsh
environments where maneuverability may be an issue.
Keeping Gas Detection Simple...
Gasman alerts user to presence of hazardous gas
by vibrating and giving a loud audible alarm with red/blue LED display. Features include
single-button control and interchangeable i-module intelligent sensors for
oxygen, toxic, and flammable gas monitoring. Gasman's user friendly backlit
LCD display allows easy viewing of gas readings, alarm conditions, and
battery life. |

Gasman is Intrinsically Safe and IP65
and IP67 Compliant...
The new Gasman personal gas monitor features and intelligent design
that is intrinsically safe. A protection concept employed in
potentially explosive atmospheres is intrinsic safety. An
intrinsically safe combustible gas instrument is one designed to be
unable to release energy (electrical or thermal) that can cause an
ignition of combustible gas. IP (Ingress Protection) is an
international classification system for the sealing effectiveness of
the enclosures of electrical instruments against the intrusion of
foreign bodies and moisture. The two digits following IP refer
to the Degrees of Protection offered by that particular device.
Being IP65 and IP67 compliant means that Gasman personal gas
detector is protected against dust, water from a nozzle and
immersion in water.
Two versions of the Gasman are available: a rechargeable unit with a
lithium-ion battery for 12 hours' operation for use with all gas
types, and a unit powered by a replaceable long-life
non-rechargeable battery for toxic gas and oxygen detection.
Gas Detection and Personal Safety...
Toxic gases create an immediate and
long-term health risk to personnel. They include such gases as
hydrogen chloride, chlorine, ammonia and carbon monoxide.
Carbon monoxide is an odorless gas that can build up when heating
fuel is burned improperly or incompletely. A malfunctioning
furnace or appliance, a blocked chimney, or a cracked ventilation
system can all lead to dangerous levels of carbon monoxide.
Gasman carbon monoxide version has a sensor range of 0-500 ppm with
alarm sounding at 35 ppm in 20 seconds.
