Airpura Deluxe VOC uses premium quality
activated carbon which has been specially treated to deal with specific
chemicals, especially VOCs. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) will
naturally vaporize into the air from such products as paint thinner, dry
cleaning solvents, gasoline, natural gas, and others. Paint strippers,
wood preservatives, plastics, and cosmetics, according to the Environmental
Protection Agency, produce VOCs that contribute to sick building syndrome -
indoor air may typically have 2-5 times more VOCs than outdoor air, and
during some activities 1,000 times more VOCs. Airpura Deluxe VOC
residential air cleaner provides a potassium iodide blend.
