Matsuura, a Japanese company that began as a single factory in 1935, started manufacturing and distributing lathes in the city of Fukui, and has since sold over 15,000 machines all over the world.

The Matsuura Machinery Corporation has produced a variety of CNC machining centers, including horizontal and vertical machines and high speed linear motor machines. 

The RA-I is a vertical machining center with palette shuffle, dual range 6,000 RPM spindle speed, rapid traverse rate of 944 IPM, and is controlled via a Yasnac I-80 CNC interface.
