Cleaning the SmokeMaster electronic cell is simple with this complete wash kit. Simply mix one gallon of the detergent concentrate with 4 gallons of water in the specially fitted container. Wash aluminum cells every 2- 6 weeks, depending on pollution levels. Place the electronic cell in the container for about 2-3 minutes. Remove the cell and let sit for about 5-7 minutes and then rinse with hot water or run through a cycle in a commercial dish washer. After the cell has dried, spray a light coat of cell coat on the aluminum collector plates.

The wash container includes a fiberglass lid, simply place the cover on the wash container and store the cleaning solution for the next cleaning. Each batch of cleaning solution should be good for 10-12 cleanings. The cell coat helps improve filter cell life and efficiency and makes future cleaning easier. We recommend spraying a light coat of cell coat on a brand new filter cell and on a clean dry cell. 

Cleaning Tips:
Soaking the cell longer than 3 minutes can cause your cleaning solution to become dirty too quickly and reduce it's useful lifespan.
If you have stubborn tar or stains that do not remove easily, we recommend using a non-acidic solution, such as Simple Green.
Remember to also clean the aluminum prefilter to maintain maximum system airflow and effectiveness. A dirty prefilter reduces system airflow and efficiency and can cause the unit to make popping sounds.
Spray a light coat of cell coat on a clean dry cell each time you wash the cell. It will reduce pitting, prolong filter cell life and make for easy future cleaning.
