We are so impressed with the unique
usability and design features of the Crowcon Tetra, we have chosen to

Most personal multigas monitors look like
they would break if you drop them, we threw ours at a wall and it was

suspends the critical electronics and sensors inside a tough plastic
casing surrounded by a rubber molded outside. Not only is it dust
and water resistant, it floats in water!
Of all portable multi gas detectors, Tetra
is the easiest to use while climbing around in protective gear.
It's sized right to handle with gloves. Bright backlit display is
made to be seen at a glance while wearing it on your body. And
there is only one button to push, no fooling around searching through
menus. It displays all four gas sensor readings simultaneously.
Rechargeable battery lasts a full 12 hour shift. When an alarm
goes off, there's no mistaking the bright red and blue lights, 94 dB
sound and vibration.
As smart as it is strong, we are further
impressed by the Crowcon Tetra's intelligence. It will log 8000
events. Ready to download or configure? It interfaces with
your PC via infrared signal. This eliminates the risk of water or
dust getting in through the hole for a flash card or plug, keeping the
unit totally sealed. Don't worry if your computer has no IR port,
USB and R232 converters are available. And of course, the software
package provides full configuration control, calibration and access to
the event log. In addition, software conforms to standard
IEC61508, preventing you from reducing functional safety. For
dealing with multiple portable gas detectors, the Crowcon Autocalibrator
automatically calibrates your instruments without error, every time.
