Ptac or Package Terminal Air Conditioning Units
are used in areas where zones have an outside wall and are conditioned
separately with individual control. Some applications of PTAC units are
hotels, motels, nursing homes and apartment buildings.
PTAC or package terminal air conditioning units
are designed for Though Wall installation. Fedders designed their PTAC for
either replacing older models or initial installations. Replacing couldn't
be easier as the PTAC was designed to fit in the majority of competitors
sleeves.
Some advantages of using a PTAC unit over a
centralized system for individual control are that Initial cost is less then
a central system and Building space and duct work not necessary. Units that
have gone bad can be replaced quickly and installation is easy.
