FAQ | Installation Air purifiers using technology to intensify the UVGI (radiant) field in an enclosed duct are probably approaching the problem in the most economical manner. Below is a computer representation showing rays colored from red to blue in order of increasing intensity.

Here is how air purification UVGI (radiant) field works: Air passes into the duct system and onto the central air purifier's radiant field. Germicidal ultraviolet light, hydroxyls and low levels of ozone that purify, oxygen plasma and negative ions come into contact with the air to perform their cleansing roles. Oxidization of contaminants occurs rendering them harmless. At the same time gases and odors are neutralized. The central air system's fan blows the pure air back into the affected area. This is a more efficacious approach than filtration methods, which often produce results that vary widely. As air is exposed to the radiant field of Biozone’s special UV lamp, the purifying process destroys harmful contaminants. The purified air carrying negative ions is then passed back into the environment for removal of particulates. Low, safe levels of photolic ozone seek out and destroy additional hazardous pollutants.
HVAC
duct installed air purification systems operate at about $3.00 per month. There are targeted commercial applications including agriculture (intensive animal rearing with significant odor issues such as: hog, chicken or turkey) for areas up to 1 million square feet.
