Ammonia and Ammine Gas Cartridge Technology: The IQAir GC AM air purifier uses four reusable filter cartridges to hold up to 12 lbs. of gas phase media. The IQAir GCX AM air purifier uses four reusable filter cartridges to hold up to 25 lbs. of gas phase media. The cylindrical shape of these cartridges allows for optimum contact between the air and gas phase media, which ensures  a high removal efficiency of the ammonia and ammine gases and odors. The large surface area of the cartridges enables high air flow rates. Since IQAir gas filter cartridges are reusable, replacing them is not only economical, but also environmentally friendly.

High-Efficiency Particulate Filtration: The particulate filtration of the IQAir GC AM air cleaner complements the ammonia and ammine filtration process by removing over 97% of particles before they can reach the gas phase media. This increases the efficiency and life of the media by preventing its pores from clogging. The IQAir GC AM air cleaners' overall filtration efficiency for particles is 97% at .3 microns. The post filter is electrostatically charged to trap particulate pollutants and microorganisms (bacteria and viruses).
