"The GT-321 is your basic handheld laser particle
counter.
It's so simple you can teach a monkey to use it..."
The Model GT-321 Particle Counter provides you
with a more inexpensive way to monitor particle size and concentration. Particles are detected,
counted, and then displayed
according to the size ranges you have previously chosen. The
GT-321 is a hand held unit that supplies an internal flow system and
batteries.

Size Discrimination
Each particle is individually counted and sized, this allows the
instrument to label only the particles of interest. You can select from five
ranges from the front panel. Set a lower particle size and the GT-321
will count all particles of that size and greater.
Fast Reporting
Most typical monitors take one minute (or longer) before particle
concentration can be displayed. The GT-321 has a built-in rate counter
that shows current particle count every six seconds, each period is
projected to provide a concentration per sample volume.
Operation
Easy to use controls are supported by a
microprocessor to enable the Particle Monitors to perform complex measurement
tasks easily. Two button control for setting size discriminator and for
starting the measurement cycle.
In cycle operation, air is sampled and a laser optical system counts and sizes
individual particles as they pass through the optical orifice. The flow rate
is 0.1 cfm (2.83 lpm) which makes it ideal for low to high concentrations of
airborne particulates.
Up to 8 hours of power is provided with the self contained battery pack,
3.5 or 5 hours of continuous use. A supplied battery charger will operate the
unit, even if the batteries are discharged. Battery charge time is 16 hours.
For options such as PC interface, advanced data
reporting, more size ranges, extended data storage and more, see the Met One GT-521
Do you need all
this plus a Particulate Mass Monitor? See the Met One GT-531 Mass/Particle
Counter.
