CLEANING AND CHANGING THE HEPA & CARBON DRUM FILTERS

FYI - HEPA Life Rating
The HEPA filter may last up to 5 years in some areas, The carbon filter may last up to 2 years. the longevity of the HEPA or the carbon filter depends on the amount of use and the amount of contaminants in the room air where the filter is being used. After changing the "Pre-filter" if the red light stays on, you should change the inner HEPA drum. As the carbon media comes to the end of its life, chemically and environmentally sensitive (MCS) people may detect contaminants at lower levels and will have to change the filter sooner.

The Frequency Guidelines for Change of Filters
The frequency of HEPA and carbon filter changes will vary depending the amount of contaminants in your indoor environment.

If the Red Indicator Light Remains On
If cleaning or changing the pre-filter does not shut off the red indicator light, this signal means that the inner HEPA filter needs to be changed. Order a HEPA replacement filter from BreathePureAir.
