Report from Vallid Labs, Inc., USDA--0978,3734 Purpose: To determine the reduction (if any) of airborne bacteria with use of the Biozone Air Purifier by establishing the amount of airborne bacteria entering the Biozone Air Purifier (device) compared to the amount exiting the device. Method: Using a Biotest air sampler, the introduced Enterobacter aerogenes coming into the air purifier was collected. Samples were taken again at the outlet vent of the air purifier. All testing was run in triplicate. Numbers reported are averages of triplicate results. Results: Enterobacter aerogenes in ft3 of air entering the device >1,100 *This represents a minimum of 99% reduction. Report from Penn. State University Aerobiological Engineering - Results: Using the Biozone Air Purifier on bacterial cultures of E. Coli "we obtained better than a 2 log reduction (99%) in 2 hours." No bacteria survived after 3 hours of exposure. We have also demonstrated nearly a 4 log reduction (99.99%) in E. Coli with higher output levels from the Biozone unit. Three Controls: no exposure
Exposed for 2 hours to the Biozone unit
Report from Tri-Tech Laboratories, Inc., FDA--1058842/ORL Purpose: Disinfectant Validation Process Results: The concentration of bacteria recovered from all inoculated treated samples show a 3-5 log reduction. This factor proves that the disinfection process utilized in this study is effective in inhibiting the most common bacterial problems in producing a high quality product. The concentration of E. Coli 0157 bacteria recovered after only one (1) minute of exposure to the Biozone show a 5 log (99.999%) reduction.
