Tired of Seeing Ugly, Noisy Dehumidifiers where you would rather have a nice
piece of furniture?
The Therma Stor Santa Fe Rx
dehumidifies much more quietly than
other dehumidifiers, making it an ideal choice for offices,
homes, schools, museums
and libraries. The uniform white cabinet makes an adaptable dehumidifier
that can be painted, wallpapered or paneled to coordinate with any interior
decor. The inner condensate (water) pump and twenty feet of
drainage hose enhance its convenience, enabling you to drain condensate water outside or to
an appropriate sink or drain. Tremendously efficient, the Santa Fe Rx
dehumidifier collects more
water per kilowatt than most other residential
dehumidifiers. The Santa Fe Rx Dehumidifier, utilizing
a free-standing configuration offers high efficiency humidity control and
airborne particulate
filtration to areas up to 2,200 square feet.
Santa Fe RX Dehumidifier Filtration...
This dehumidifier comes with a standard pleated
polyester/cotton blend media filter in the top of the unit. The
standard filter is rated at 55% efficient by ASHRAE 52-76 Dust Spot Test and
MERV-8 by ASHRAE 52.2P test. Several choices of optional filters are
available. These are after filters that can be attached to the back.
You have your
choice of HEPA, carbon plus pleated media, or high efficient (95%) filters,
all of which reduce dust and other airborne allergens. The HEPA is
made of micro-glass paper mini-pleats and rated 99.97% DOP. For odor
and VOC control, you can install two 16"x20"x3" activated carbon/potassium
blend filters along with two 16"x20"x1" pleated media. For maximum
particulate and odor control, use the HEPA after filter and order a 5 gallon
container of activated carbon/potassium permanganate pellets that can be
scooped into the pleats of the standard prefilter.
Santa Fe RX Dehumidifier Efficiency...
The Santa Fe Rx uses refrigeration coils to cool
the incoming air stream below its dew point. This cooling results in the removal of
moisture (latent heat) and reduction of the temperature (sensible heat). The
cooled and dried air is used to pre-cool the incoming air stream resulting
in up to a 200 percent increase in overall efficiency. After the pre-cooling
stage the processed air is reheated by passing through the condenser coil.
The latent heat removed by the evaporator coil is returned to the air stream
at this stage as sensible heat, resulting in an overall increase in
temperature from the incoming air.
- The standard air filtration is provided
by a pleated polyester and cotton blend media filter located at the air
intake at the top of the unit. The efficiency rating of this filter is
40% in the ASHRAE 52-76 Dust Spot Test.
- The optional HEPA filter is a
micro-glass paper mini-pleat filter located in a special housing mounted
on the back of the Santa Fe Rx cabinet. The efficiency rating of this
filter is 99.97% on the D.O.P. test.
- The Santa Fe Rx is controlled by a
dehumidistat with positive “ON” and “OFF” settings and a variable
setting range from “20%” to “80%”.
- The Santa Fe Rx has a built-in defrost
system that is designed for operation down to 55°F.
- The unit contains a blower switch that
permits continuous blower operation for filtration, independent of
dehumidification.
- The Santa Fe Rx is portable, provided
with four casters.
- The unit contains a condensate water pump and
20 feet of drainage hose.
- The wiring of the unit is through a
factory installed six foot power cord; 115 volt with ground.
