These ultra efficient dehumidifiers take some of
the burden off your building's biggest electricity hog - air conditioners.
By removing moisture, a dehumidifier removes latent heat from the air.
Latent heat must be removed by your air conditioner before air temperature
will drop. As a result of using a dehumidifier, the air conditioner
will run shorter cycles before switching off.
Plus, you will feel the difference of dry air
verses humid air. In their dehumidified homes, many customers find
themselves comfortable leaving the temperature set higher during warm
seasons. This equates to big electrical savings in large homes.
According to EPA, relative humidity should be
kept at 50% to control dust mite and fungus populations. In a home
with no dehumidifier, during moderate 70° weather or cool rainy days, it is
recommended you run the air conditioner a little below normal room
temperature to maintain 50% RH. Why waste your money? You can
run a smaller, more efficient dehumidifier system that will control humidity
at a comfortable temperature.
Dehumidify Fresh Make Up Air
 Outdoor
air can be filtered and dehumidified before it mixes with your indoor air.
This constant influx of clean make up air creates positive pressure inside
the structure. Good air will want to escape, preventing bad air from
coming in.
The system will automatically control incoming
outdoor air. A programmable motorized damper regulates fresh air
intake on a daily or weekly basis.
Regardless of whether or not your Ultra-Aire
dehumidifier is using outdoor air, it will constantly filter, dehumidify and
recirculate conditioned indoor air. Outdoor air is only pulled into
the unit as a supplement to the indoor air being dehumidified.
Air Purifier Air Filters
Do you want clean, healthy air? Remove
airborne particulates such as pet dander, pollen, hair and dust with an air
filter upgrade. The standard 30% filter is comparable to an average
furnace filter. It keeps the system free of debris. The filter
chamber will accommodate an additional 4" filter. This is a pleated
microglass paper filter rated MERV-14, 90-95% Dust Spot efficient.
The dehumidifier is operated by a 24 volt remote control panel. The standard
panel features a fan / filter switch that allows continuous air circulation
independent of dehumidification. The control panel also has an adjustable dehumidistat with
absolute "on" and "off" settings. The optional panel
includes a programmable timer that triggers a motorized damper and blower to provide scheduled fresh air ventilation.
- The unit is provided with 6 inch (fresh air) and 10
inch (indoor air) inlet collars. The processed air exits the unit via a 10 inch
round duct.
- The condensed moisture is gravity drained from the
unit via a .56" ID x 8' vinyl hose.
- The unit is powered through a factory installed 7.5
foot power cord; 115 volt with ground.
