The Millennium Electronic Model WMDE55WE dehumidifier from W.C. Wood will remove as much as 55 pints of water per day with coverage up to 1200 square feet.

The WMDE55WE is recommended for higher humidity areas and is ideal for keeping mildew and moisture from forming on stored items in a basement, on tiles and grout in a bathroom or a laundry room.

In summer months, moisture builds up in wall linings, framing, roofs and furnishings. In fact, moisture will build up anywhere it can be absorbed. It can also damage your home causing rotten window sills, wall linings and peeling wall paper, as well as mould in wardrobes, on clothes and a general feeling and smell of dampness in our environment.

The reservoir bucket is conveniently located to the front of the unit. It slides forward and is easy to grip and empty with an easy pour design W.C. Wood's WMDE55WE features a bucket-full light and an audible alarm signal users when the bucket is full.

Other features include an electronic LCD screen that displays the current temperature and humidity ( great for determining how long to run the dehumidifier ), a two-speed fan, an adjustable humidistat to maintain the humidity level you prefer, a fan-only setting for air circulation without dehumidification, an air filter the is washable. Integrated handle and casters for portability.

For best results the dehumidifier must be operated in an enclosed area in order to be most effective. Close all doors and windows and other outside openings to the room. Be sure that it is placed so there is no restriction to air flow.

Allow at least 12 inches of air space on the front and back. A dehumidifier operating in a basement will have little or no effect in drying an adjacent enclosed storage area such as a closet unless there is adequate circulation of air in and out of the area. It may be necessary to install a second dehumidifier inside the enclosed storage area for satisfactory drying action.

Cleaning The Exterior Surface
Exterior surfaces may be cleaned with a mild solution of dish washing detergent and water. Under no circumstances, should this dehumidifier be immersed directly in a cleaning solution. Before washing, unplug the dehumidifier, use a moistened sponge or soft cloth to clean the surface, then gently wipe dry. Gently clean the LCD screen with a damp lint free cloth.

Fan And Fan Motor
The fan motor used on your dehumidifier is pre-lubricated. Under ordinary circumstances, the fan will not require servicing or oiling during the life of the dehumidifier.

Running a dehumidifier if a great way to lower the humidity level in your home, garage, basement and protect your valuables. Not only can mold destroy wood and clothes in your  home mold can cause respiratory problems and can make life miserable for asthmatics. Be sure to clean the bucket often to avoid germs and biological contaminants.
